Dr. Kelsey Kuperman, PhD, LP

Bilingual Trauma Psychologist

Dr. Kelsey Kuperman (she/her/ella) is a bilingual licensed Psychologist at Reaching HOPE. Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Kelsey received her undergraduate dual-degrees in Psychology and Spanish at the University of Georgia. She then earned her doctorate in Counseling Psychology with a Specialization in Spanish Language, Psychological Services, and Research at the University of Oregon. Kelsey has gained local and international training and experience providing mental health services to families and individuals across the lifespan, with an emphasis on serving Latinx and Spanish-speaking clients and individuals with disabilities. As a lifelong learner and community advocate, Kelsey is committed to enhancing and increasing access to culturally responsive and inclusive mental health services for all people. Her primary research interests include Latinx and immigrant mental health, multicultural identity development, neurodiversity and AD/HD, and disability justice. Kelsey applies an evidence-based approach to therapy that is relational and interactive, strengths-based, multiculturally/contextually minded, and trauma-informed. She aims to empower and support clients in developing healthy skills to help cope with the weight of past and current stressors, establishing a sense of safety that allows for healing and movement through life experiences that can leave them feeling stuck, and instilling authentic hope in their ability to live an intentional and meaningful life moving forward.
