Rachel Middendorf, MA

Therapist | Pre-Doctoral Intern

Rachel Middendorf (she/her/hers) is currently pursuing her PsyD at Fuller Graduate School of Psychology and Marriage and Family Therapy. She is completing her Pre-Doctoral Internship at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Prior to working at Reaching HOPE, Rachel worked in community mental health and private practice settings. She specializes in three areas: treating survivors of child abuse and interpersonal violence, working with the LGBTQ+ community, and providing holistic psychological assessment to children and adolescents. Rachel’s research also centers around the impact of childhood maltreatment, moral injury, and post-traumatic growth. She strives to make research on these topics more accessible to the community in order to aid in child abuse prevention, detection, and early intervention. Therapeutically, Rachel strives to create a safe and grounding environment for survivors of complex trauma. She prioritizes establishing a strong, trusting, and authentic therapeutic relationship for clients and their families.
