Child Trauma Psychologist
Employment Opportunity

Position

Child Trauma Psychologist, beginning with 20 hours per week (across three days), and building up to 30 hours per week (three 10-hour days). 

 

Position Summary

Reaching HOPE is hiring a licensed psychologist or post-doc who specializes in child and family trauma work, and would train the right person to join our team. This psychologist will be working along side our treatment team to provide therapy to children, adolescents, adults (primarily parents), and families. He/she will also participate in a robust training program for doctoral level practicum students, and participate in weekly supervision and treatment team meetings. The right candidate will be comfortable working with significant trauma, be skilled at self-care, and ready to join a team of psychologists who are passionate about trauma work and value a healthy work-life balance.

At Reaching HOPE, we are committed to sustaining a healthy work-life balance so that we can maintain our passion for working with trauma survivors. This is why Reaching HOPE considers 30 hours per week full time work and strongly encourages self-care and rejuvenation during the 4 days off each week. We also believe that self-care during work is important and have monthly self-care activities and outings for staff that are built in to working hours. Client related paperwork is minimal and a significant focus is put on engaging with co-workers around case consultation, debriefing and supporting one another. 
We are a friendly, enthusiastic, and passionate team of psychologists who are seeking another member to join our team. 

 

Eligibility Requirements

The following requirements must be met by the start date:

  • Completion and conferral of a doctoral degree (i.e., PhD or PsyD) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology or an equivalent area from an APA accredited program. Transcripts are required.

  • Registration with the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agency as a Psychologist Candidate or a Licensed Psychologist

  • Completion and passing of a background check
     

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with trauma work

  • Experience with child, adolescent, and family therapy

  • Experience with psychological assessment

  • Experience with providing supervision

 

Financial Compensation and Incentives

  • Hourly compensation for hours scheduled/worked

  • Hourly compensation is commensurate with experience and credentials

  • A 3-day work week

  • A work environment committed to employee satisfaction, self-care, and team support

  • Monthly self-care activities and outings for staff that are built in to working hours

  • Opportunities for growth and advancement to leadership position

  • 5% Paid Time Off (PTO) earned for hours worked

  • Holidays off: Reaching HOPE is closed Thanksgiving Day, December 24th through January 1st, and July 4th. Holidays are unpaid, allowing employees the choice of utilizing accrued PTO to enjoy paid holidays, or maximizing time off by reserving your PTO for future use and taking unpaid holidays when Reaching HOPE is closed

Position Summary

Reaching HOPE is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, seeking to fill the Treasurer position on our Board of Directors. The Treasurer manages the finances of Reaching HOPE, administrates fiscal matters, provides the annual budget to the board for approval, and facilitates board review of financial policies and procedures. All board members are asked to attend quarterly board meetings, participate in committee work, volunteer for assignments, and participate in fund raising efforts.
