Maria Neiers (she/her/hers), MA, is a third-year doctoral trainee at the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Professional Psychology. She has a B.A. from Texas A&M University in Psychology with a minor in Spanish. Maria obtained her Master’s in Mental Health Counseling Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University in 2021. Maria's background includes working with perinatal/postpartum caregivers, children, adolescents, and adults and she has worked in numerous settings including schools, community mental health, and private practice. Maria uses an integrative approach, employing various modalities to meet her client's needs, such as Play Therapy, Cognitive and Dialectic Behavioral Therapy, and Psychodynamic approaches. She believes in centering collaboration and advocacy into her work with clients and continually works to build strong, meaningful, and affirming relationships with everyone she sees.
