Aislin Guajardo (she/her/hers), MA, is a third-year doctoral candidate at the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Professional Psychology. She is currently focusing on health psychology, suicidology, and developmental disabilities. She has a Bachelor’s degree fromTexas State University in Psychology with a minor in forensic psychology. She also obtained her Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from the University of Denver. Prior to working at Reaching HOPE, Aislin worked both in community mental health and private practice settings. Her background includes working with children, caregivers, adolescents, adults, and individuals
with mental and physical disabilities. Aislin uses an integrative approach by utilizing modalities like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and mindfulness. Her approach in therapy is to be curious and compassionate, while building a deeper understanding of her clients’ complex and multifaceted lives. Aislin hopes toprovide advocacy and support so individuals can connect with themselves while working towards meaningful growth.
