Mental Health Co-Responder / Brighton Police Department

Reaching HOPE is partnering with the Brighton Police Department to offer a new Co-Responder Program! As part of the Co-Responder team, we have already hired a Case Manager, and one of our Post-Doctoral therapists will be taking one 10 hour shift per week. We are looking to hire a Licensed Clinician for a full time, 30 hour position working Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 12p-10p. They will still be part of our team, attending didactics and individual supervision, but will be housed in the Brighton Police Department. This is currently primarily funded through a multi-year research grant, which also means that this position will get to work collaboratively with the research psychologist working on this grant! Pay is $70,000 for an English speaking provider and $75,000 for a Bilingual English / Spanish provider.

Board of Directors

Reaching HOPE is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, seeking members to join our Board of Directors. Board members are asked to attend monthly board meetings and important related meetings. Members are asked to stay informed about committee matters, prepare for meetings, and review and comment on minutes and reports. Board members participate in committee work, volunteer for assignments, and actively participate in fund raising efforts. Lastly, board members are active participants on the committee's annual evaluation and planning efforts.

Externship for Doctoral Students

Reaching HOPE offers a 1+ year supervised doctoral practicum to students training to become psychologists and who are interested in receiving trauma-specific training. Practicum students learn with close and supportive supervision from Reaching HOPE Staff psychologists, and work side-by-side with trauma specialists by co-leading family therapy sessions. Practicum students also conduct individual therapy with children, teens, and adults who are impacted by trauma. Send your CV, 2 letters of recommendation and a cover letter to apply.

Predoctoral Psychology Internship (Major Rotation)

Reaching HOPE is a major rotation site within the APA-accredited Pre-doctoral Internship at University of Colorado School of Medicine, Department of Family Medicine. The Reaching HOPE major rotation offers experience conducting therapy with children, teens, parents, and families who have survived complex trauma. We use a phase-based model for treating complex trauma in family systems. Interns will join a dynamic team of psychologists who tackle intergenerational trauma with a unique approach—the whole family system (ages 2-75+) is seen by the whole treatment team (everyone with their own individual therapist). Additionally, interns will have the opportunity to participate in psychological or immigration evaluations and learn the inner workings of running a non-profit through business projects and community collaboration / outreach opportunities.
