Current Reaching HOPE Team Openings
Trauma and Crisis Psychologist
Reaching HOPE is currently seeking 2 licensed Clinical Psychologists to join our team in a full-time (30 hours per week) role focused on trauma-informed care and crisis response.
This position includes:
• One day per week providing trauma-focused psychological services at Reaching HOPE
• Two days per week serving as a Co-Responder with the Brighton Police Department, working alongside law enforcement to support individuals experiencing mental health crises and stabilization needs.
• One position will work Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and the other Wednesday, Thursday Friday.
• Unique opportunity to engage in both clinical trauma treatment and collaborative, community-based crisis intervention.
• Didactics and individual supervision with Reaching HOPE as well as briefings with the Brighton Police Department.
Our Co-Response Program is housed under Victim Services, allowing for connection and collaboration with both officers and victim advocates. Additional, this program is involved in both national and local research, and providers will be able to participate in research around program development, service delivery, training effectiveness, and meaningful ways to collect and understand outcome data in a relatively new area of psychology.
Predoctoral Psychology Internship
Reaching HOPE is a site within the APA-accredited Pre-doctoral Internship at University of Denver Consortium. Reaching HOPE offers experience conducting therapy with children, teens, parents, and families who have survived complex trauma. We use a phase-based model for treating complex trauma in family systems. Interns will join a dynamic team of psychologists who tackle intergenerational trauma with a unique approach—the whole family system (ages 2-75+) is seen by the whole treatment team (everyone with their own individual therapist). Additionally, interns will have the opportunity to participate in the Mental health Co-Responder Program through minor rotations, as well as learn the inner workings of running a non-profit through business projects and community collaboration / outreach opportunities. Please note, that Reaching HOPE requires background checks as part of the onboarding process.
Pre-Doctoral Externship / Practicum placement
Reaching HOPE offers a 1+ year supervised doctoral practicum to students training to become psychologists and who are interested in receiving trauma or crisis response specific training. Practicum students learn with close and supportive supervision from Reaching HOPE Staff psychologists. Within the Trauma Recovery program, practicum students work side-by-side with trauma specialists by running individual and group therapy sessions and co-leading family therapy sessions with children, teens, and adults who are impacted by trauma. Within the Co-Responder Program, students work with psychologists to provide crisis support in response to 911 calls along side Law Enforcement, as well as prevention services through open office hours in the community. Send your CV, 2 letters of recommendation and a cover letter to apply.
