Co-Responder Program
Reaching HOPE understands that mental health and substance use crises place people at greater risk of experiencing trauma. Alongside local Law Enforcement agencies, we respond to 911 calls and work to deescalate crisis situations. Reaching HOPE's Co-Responder Programs are located in Brighton and Federal Heights, CO.

Goals of Co-Responder Program
Reaching HOPE and Law Enforcement Partners aim to:

Prevent mental health and substance use crises through Case Management services

Decrease interaction with the criminal justice system

Teach Coping and Emotion Regulation Skills to individuals who might not otherwise seek therapy services

Reduce the need for mental health hospitalizations through on-scene de-escalation ​
Roles
The Reaching HOPE Co-Responder Programs includes 2 primary roles:, Mental Health Clinician and Case Manager
Mental Health Clinicians respond alongside Law Enforcement during 911 calls and crisis situations in order to to de-escalate, safety plan and support individuals experiencing a mental health crisis.

Case Managers take referrals from Law Enforcement, Community members and self referrals in order to provide resources that help support safety and stabilization, including resources for housing, food, transportation, mental health services, medical services, etc. ​

Clinicians and Case Managers hold open hours at various locations throughout Brighton and Federal Heights the month for. community members to connect and learn more about the programs. Reach out to Services@ReachingHOPE.org to get our latest open hours.
