Meet Our Team
Reaching HOPE is made up of a diverse group of individuals who hold specialties and life experiences in a wide range of areas, reflecting the clients we work with. We are staffed with primarily Doctoral level clinicians, which means an extensive level of training across the agency, including specialties in: research, trauma, substance misuse, youth and young adults, LGBTQIA+, neurodiversity, people without documentation, BIPOC, and people with low incomes.

Because we recognize the importance of bringing in lived experiences and making sure that all voices are heard; staff includes individuals who identify as people of color, LBGTQIA+, are/have raised children with mental illness, have family who struggle with mental illness/substance misuse/criminal histories, have neurodiversity, have immigrated or are first generation, who are crime victims, and who have experienced poverty and/or homelessness.

We value the advanced doctoral training that psychologists receive, which is the highest degree available in psychology. Therefore, Reaching Hope is staffed by Licensed Psychologists and Psychologists-in-Training who specialize in treating complex trauma. A licensed psychologist is an advanced mental health professional with a doctorate degree in psychology, that is why they are called a "Doctor." They have the highest degree obtainable in the field of psychology and have completed the licensing requirements at the doctoral level. This includes passing both the Examination for the Professional Practice of Psychology and the Jurisprudence Examination, as well as completing one year of post-doctoral supervision.

All Reaching Hope Family Trauma Recovery therapists hold a doctorate degree, or are pursuing a doctorate degree (and already hold a master's degree). All Co-Responder Program therapists hold a minimum of a Master's Degree and Licensure at a Master's level.
