Kortnee Nelson, MA

Kortnee Nelson (she/her/hers), MA, is a third-year doctoral candidate at the University of Denver, studying Clinical Psychology. Her academic background includes a Master’s degree in Sport and Performance Psychology from the University of Denver and a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in American Sign Language from Kean University. Prior to Reaching Hope, Kortnee worked both in community mental health and private practice settings. With a focus on providing compassionate, evidence-based care, Kortnee employs modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and stress reduction techniques to support diverse clients in achieving their goals. Kortnee’s approach is characterized by creativity and flexibility, aiming to build a deeper understanding of each client’s unique needs. Dedicated to client advocacy and maintaining high ethical standards, Kortnee strives to foster meaningful personal growth and well-being in her therapeutic practice.
