Jasmine M. Cervantes, M.A. (she/her/hers), is a pre-doctoral intern and trauma therapist at Reaching HOPE. She is finishing her final year in the Clinical Psychology Psy.D. program at the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Professional Psychology. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and obtained her Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from the University of Denver in 2021. Jasmine’s background includes working with children and caregivers, adolescents, adults, and the LGBTQ+ community. Prior to Reaching HOPE, Jasmine has worked in private practice, community mental health, and forensic settings. Her values include creating a safe and inclusive environment for her clients and building a healthy therapeutic relationship where clients feel like their voices are heard and respected. Jasmine takes an integrative and collaborative approach to therapy and utilizes therapeutic modalities such as Trauma Focused - Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Family Therapy, and Play Therapy. Jasmine aims to incorporate cultural humility, mindfulness, compassion, and advocacy in her sessions with the goal of building empowerment and self-efficacy with all her clients. In her free time, you can find Jasmine curled up with a book, playing video and board games, or watching anime.
