Dr. Loraine Fishman is a Licensed Psychologist who specializes in treating children and adolescents with complex trauma. She has worked in a number of settings including private practice, schools, hospitals, community mental health centers, and nonprofits. Her experiences range from assessing and diagnosing learning disabilities, treating complex trauma from a family systems lens, providing psycho-education on child sexual development and behavior, working with clients with serious and persistent mental illness, crisis intervention, working with children and adolescents with neurodiversity, and group treatment. She earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a specialty in child and adolescent psychological assessment from the University of Denver’s Graduate School of Professional Psychology in 2020. She believes strongly in a person-centered approach to treatment that values the client’s ability to feel empowered and have a respected voice in therapy; ultimately, allowing her therapeutic approach to focus on relationship building, trust, and safety. She received her Psychologist License on May 2, 2022.
