Dr. Alexa Methratta, PsyD, LP

Dr. Alexa Methratta (she/her/hers) is a licensed clinical trauma psychologist at Reaching HOPE. Alexa’s mission is to provide accessible and trauma-informed clinical care through a lens of social justice, intersectional feminism, cultural responsiveness, and anti-racism.

Alexa has been fortunate to work with a variety of diverse populations in various settings, including high schools, community mental health agencies, college counseling centers, jails, and hospitals. She specializes in intimate partner violence, sexual assault, childhood abuse, and gender-based violence. Alexa has had the pleasure of working with clients of different ages, genders, sexual orientations, socio-economic statuses, races, religions, abilities, diagnoses, and immigration statuses.

She earned her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a focus on Social Justice from Alliant International University. Alexa provides contextual therapy that prioritizes intersectionality, systems, identities, relationships, environments, and experiences to make the journey through healing, self-exploration, and finding the authentic self.
